SketchBook Express - a set of drawing tools in Windows 8

The company Autodesk Inc has announced a new application for the operating system Windows 8 called SketchBook Express. Attention is invited to a comprehensive set of drawing tools that can be used to create an outline or full illustrations.

Intuitive interface SketchBook Express provides quick access to all the key tools and features of the product. The compact panel in the lower left corner you will find the usual tools such as 'pencil', 'pen', 'brush', 'bucket of paint', 'pipette' and others. Of course, users can configure each tool, including to adjust the brush size, select a fill color, etc. SketchBook Express allows a pair of keystrokes to get a mirror image of the artwork, as well as undo and redo the last action.

SketchBook Express tools can be used to create new images and edit existing images. And at the end of the working session, the user can save the results of their work to a file in JPEG or PNG.

The application runs on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 8 and can be run on computers with processors x86, x64 and ARM. A copy of SketchBook Express can be downloaded from the official App Store Windows Store.


Recall that the developers of Autodesk Inc also offer a separate version of the product Sketchbook Express for the operating system OS X. In the application for 'Poppy' has implemented a set of useful extra features not available in the Windows-version, such as support for layers and tools "lasso", intended to highlight some areas of the image.
